iPhone video: Scottish Ceilidh Dance
The Clarty Cloot Ceilidh Band plays lively Scottish music at a ceilidh in Ednam in the Scottish Borders (Scotland). This was the last dance of the evening and is called the Circassan Circle. The music is a set of reels including: Spootiskerry, Willafjord, Homeward Bound and Brenda Stubert's Reel. A ceilidh is a social event / party with music and dancing. The Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers were on tour in the area in Oct 2008 and had a great time at the ceilidh. Colyn Fischer (with PSF) played fiddle with the ceilidh band and this video has a short interview of him at the end along with Rachel Cross (fiddle) and Sandy Watson (guitar). PSF played a concert the next day in Hawick in which they opened for the Border Fiddles.
